About Jane Doe

"The best journeys are not always in straight lines."

Out of all the places Jane has travelled to in her career, her favorite place is still her hometown of Denver, Colorado. After attending K-12 in Denver, Jane then went on to earn a Bachelors of Fine Art at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco as well as earning a Journalism Masters at Tufts University in Boston. 

Published Writings and Photographs

Her short stories have been published in several travel anthologies, including Salon.com's Wanderlust, and Lonely Planet's The Kindness of Strangers and By The Seat of My Pants. Jane has done story development for National Geographic television, and her photography series Timeless, black and white photographs of African tribal peoples, was exhibited at the United Nations film festival. Jane teaches travel writing, and is frequently invited to speak at literary conferences, workshops and festivals.

Reporting and photography of weekly local events, weekly columnist, web site management, editorial input, managing publication of seasonal projects.

Freelance Writer/Photographer (June 1994 - present): Writing, editing and project management of internal publications, marketing brochures, magazine articles, training materials and by-lined articles.
